All week, we have been following the various efforts underway to raise funds for Haiti earthquake relief. Tomorrow night in Brooklyn, there’s another big event planned.

Bowery Presents and Brooklyn Vegan have teamed up to bring a number of indie rock stars to the Music  Hall of Williamsburg, including Spoon frontman Britt Daniel, Bon Iver guy Justin Vernon, St. Vincent, and John Shade.

The bill also includes comedians like Zach Galifianakis, Janeane Garofalo, and “Daily Show” correspondent Wyatt Cenac. All money raised will be split between the Red Cross and a Haiti orphanage chosen by Galifianakis.After the jump, we’ve got more Haiti benefit news.

– R.E.M.’s website reports that Simon Cowell is working with the British newspaper The Sun to organize an all-star cover of “Everybody Hurts”. Leona Lewis, Rod Stewart, Michael Bublé, and boy band JLS have already signed on to take part, and many others are in talks to join in.

– LAist reports that three big shows are coming up in the next week at Largo at the Coronet. Tomorrow night, Fiona Apple will headline a bill that also includes Jon Brion and Gillian Welch. On Monday, comedians Sarah Silverman and Aziz Ansari, along with various special guests, will perform. And on Tuesday, Jenny Lewis will play with Azure Ray, Becky Stark, and others. All money raised will go to Habitat for Humanity and Save the Children.

– The Roots will headline N. 6th for Haiti, taking place at Music Hall of Williamsburg and benefiting Partners in Health. MTV reports that the Roots will act as the backing band for several artists on tonight’s “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon.

– The telethon “Canada for Haiti” will air on several networks in Canada tonight, featuring performances from Metric, Nelly Furtado, the Tragically Hip, Celine Dion, and many more.

– Singer-songwriter and Azure Ray member Orenda Fink has written about her experiences in Haiti, and she’s offering her Invisible Ones album for free download in the hope that this will convince people to donate to relief organizations.

– In London, the Futureheads, Kate Nash (DJ set), the Magic Numbers, Bombay Bicycle Club, Zero 7, Seasick Steve, the Maccabees (DJ set), Mr. Hudson, and more will play a February 25 fundraiser show at the Roundhouse, with proceeds going to ActionAid and Doctors Without Borders.

– Billboard reports that Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones have teamed up to record a new version of the 1985 all-star singalong “We Are the World” for earthquake relief. They hope to include folks like Usher and John Legend, and Michael Jackson in some way.
