Like many people, R&B star and ex-wifey to rapper , likes to post pictures of herself to Facebook. Because when you get down to it, Facebook is there to see who from high school got fat and to post flattering pictures of yourself.
Unlike most people, Kelis’ latest foray into sharing herself with others involves the above shot, taken by acclaimed photographer , from the set of her video for “Acapella.” She looks like a combination of a Na’vi warrior and Tina Turner from Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome.
We kind of warned you something like this was on the horizon. A few weeks back we noticed that a bit of fever in her quest to be “out there” with her threads. She’s been rocking the fake grey hair and nose ring/earring/necklace combo for a while. The Pandora-friendly blue lighting and chain-mail blouse are nice new touches, though.
Officially cannot wait for the “Acapella” video. It’s due to be the first clip from her album, Fleshtones, due out in may. Never change, Kelis.
